PORT EDWARDS, WI -  David J. Cervenka, age 79 years, of Port Edwards, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Edenbrook in Wisconsin Rapids.

He was born on October 9, 1941 to James and Sophia (Kolash) Cervenka at Hillsboro, Wisconsin.

David married Mary Norrine Hofrichter on October 20, 1962.

They made their home in Port Edwards and David worked for Wisconsin Power and Light for 30 years and later at Stora Enso for 10 years.  He was active with the Boy Scouts, a member of Port Edwards Lions Club for 49 years and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.  The family historian, he was a good husband and father and a person willing to help anyone.

Survivors include his wife, Norrine; son, Craig (Maureen) Cervenka of Delafield; daughter, Carrie Cervenka of Plover; grandchildren, Katie and Sean Cervenka; and siblings, Ronald Cervenka of Turlock, California and Dorothy Blegen of Janesville.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sophia Cervenka and in-laws, Clarence and Marjorie Hofrichter.

A time of Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards, with a time of visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Interment will be in the Czech’s National Cemetery near Yuba, Wisconsin.

COVID restrictions will be recognized, Masks are required and social distancing observed.
