KENDALL - Julie M. Winchel, age 57 years, of rural Kendall, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home.

She was born on December 1, 1963 to Ted and Ruth (Rush) Olson in Viroqua, Wisconsin.

Julie was united in marriage to Ronald Winchel Jr. on December 17, 1983 and celebrated 37 years of marriage.

Julie was very caring, loving, selfless, and generous. In recent years she devoted herself to taking care of her husband. She loved her family more than anything else especially her Ronnie, she was a true romantic and their love was unwavering.  She was fully dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with them as often as possible. Her favorite activities included family get togethers and cookouts, and in her quiet time she loved to read.  She had an ear for good music and loved to dance. She was also a formidable billiard player, and a crack-shot with a rifle. There are so many words to describe who Julie was and will forever be, but there is not enough space or time to proclaim all of them. She was the captain of the Winchel ship. She will be sorely missed but forever enduring through her children, grandchildren and those who knew her best.

Survivors include her husband, Ron of Kendall; children, Jacob Winchel of Tomah, Jordan (Jake Sadorf) Winchel of La Farge and Terence (Liz) Winchel of Union Center; grandchildren, Ben, Salena, Jade, Judah and Mable; mother, Ruth Olson of La Farge; sister, Jody Cummings of Ironton and brother, Steve (Dee) Olson of La Farge. She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Olson; her father and mother-in-law, Ronald Sr. and Mable Winchel, sister-in-law, Connie Brueggeman, brother-in-law, Mike Cummings, and nephew, Jeremy Suhr.

A celebration of Julie’s life will take place on a later date.
