WONEWOC - Bette “Dawn” Herrewig, age 91 years, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Fairview Nursing Home in Mauston.
She was born on January 24, 1930, the daughter of John and Bessie (Dinse) Michel at Wonewoc. She graduated from the Wonewoc High School. Bette “Dawn” was united in marriage to Orlo Herrewig on November 6, 1947 in Wonewoc.
Dawn worked at Ray-O-Vac in Wonewoc for 44 years as well as helped on the family farm for many years. Orlo preceded her in death on March 23, 2015.
She enjoyed collecting ceramic dolls, going to garage sales and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Bill (Diana) Herrewig; grandchildren, Holly Herrewig (Jeremy Bennett), Tony (Kelly) Herrewig, Terry (Beth) Herrewig and Candice Nelson; 8 great grandchildren, Adam, Austin, Gracie, Blake, Savannah, Grant, Brayden and Gemma and 2 great great grandchildren, Parker and Piper.
In addition to her husband, Orlo; she was preceded in death by her Parents and her sisters, Shirley Dreischmeier and Joyce Brickson.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wonewoc. Burial will be in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wonewoc.
