Carmen R. Haugh, age 99 years, of Yuba, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Fairview Nursing Home in Mauston, Wisconsin.

She was born on July 23, 1926 in the Township of Bloom, top of Johnson Hill, a daughter of Wencil and Tena (Kolash) Sebranek. She attended Jewel School.

On August 14, 1945 (VJ Day) she married Leslie James Haugh. Two sons were born to their marriage, Roger Arlie Haugh and Loren James Haugh.

On June 19, 1983, Leslie suddenly passed away. Carmen kept the milk cows until April of 1984.

Carmen married Martin Tydrich in 1988. They built a new home together on the outskirts of the Village of Yuba. In the basement, she created her salon. Martin passed away in 2002.

Through the Cesky Den singers, she met John Nusse. They remained friends for several years, until his passing.

Carmen was a member of the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro and their choir. She remained active in the Choir until COVID shut that down.

Her salon was always a place for coffee and cookies. Giving cuts and perms seven days a week, depending on a client’s schedule. She gave her final haircut to Don Huffman, April of 2025 at 98 years of age. Hard work was a way of life for her.
