LA VALLE - David E. Satterlee, age 73 years, of rural La Valle, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

He was born on August 20, 1948 to Ned and Dorothy (Phillips) Satterlee in Richland Center. He graduated from the Wonewoc Center High School. David served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970.

David was united in marriage to Margaret Zeller on April 27, 1996 in Mauston.

David worked for 31 years for Walker’s Stainless in Elroy where he was a welder and later was supervisor in the hole. Later he worked for DRM – Don’s Repair and Machine in Lake Delton in fabrication and welding, building rock crushers for stone quarries. After retirement he was a driver for Amish families.

He was an avid collector of John Deere tractors and enjoyed being a machinist and fabricator.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; daughter, Christina (Michael) Fanta; son, Brian (Lora) Satterlee; grandsons, Nicholas (Airika) Fanta, Jedediah (Destiny) Fanta and Jonathan Fanta; great granddaughters, Lucille Fanta, Lillian Muller and Sofia Muller; stepchildren, Darrell (Faye) Rohwer, David (Missy) Rohwer and Mary (Jeff) Pasch; step grandchildren, Joseph Rohwer, Cameron (Brianna) Pasch and Zachary Pasch; step great granddaughter, Aubreyana Pasch; brother, Don (Linda) Satterlee; sisters, Mary Satterlee and Marilyn (Jim) Berndt and uncle, George McDonough.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; brother, Joseph Satterlee; sister-in-law, Anita Satterlee; nephew, Wade Satterlee; aunt, Janice McDonough and step grandson, Dale Rohwer Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valton Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in the Lime Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc. For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
