WONEWOC - Edward J. Boldon, age 86 years, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Elroy Health Services in Elroy.

He was born on January 19, 1936 to Raymond and Anna (Malphy) Boldon in Hillsboro. Edward graduated from the Hillsboro High School.

Edward was united in marriage to Alice Smith on July 30, 1955 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Wonewoc.

Shortly thereafter they purchased a farm in Plum Valley in 1957, where they raised their family and operated the family farm, along with him working at Ray-O-Vac for many years, where he was a fork lift operator and later a supervisor until he retired, but his passion was always farming.

He enjoyed many things including spending time with his family; outdoor activities including the animals, fishing, golfing and coon hunting; was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and participated in the Woodland Watershed. He was a quiet, humble, caring man and was always there for his wife and kids.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Boldon of Wonewoc; children, Mary (Greg) Helgerson of Union Center, Laura (Jim) Brockman of Wonewoc, Wanda Boldon (Brian Newmueller) of Marshfield, Steven (Tracey) Boldon of Genoa and Robert “Toby” (Mindy) Boldon of Wonewoc; grandchildren, Vince Helgerson, Joseph Helgerson (Beth Peternell), Alanna Boldon, Anna (Jeremy) Brice, Alicia (Cole) Rasmussen, Joshua (Lilah) Brockman, Kaitlin Brockman (Dylan Husom), Zachary (Bri) Boldon, Shawna (Jason) Merriman, Chelsey Boldon, Noah Boldon, Riley Bolden, Ella Boldon and Rhett Boldon; eighteen Great Grandchildren; sister, Caroline Boldon and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; daughter, Debra Jean Boldon and two infant sons and brothers, Clifford Boldon and William Boldon.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father Don Bauer officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be at the Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
