Finley’s Bussin’ Bituary

Finley Peter Sosinsky came into this world as a big, beautiful baby in the early hours of July 2, 2013, surrounded by an amazing amount of love. From the moment he entered this world, Finley brought with him a zest for life and an inquisitive nature that was unmatched.

To know Finley was to love him and to wonder how so many words could come out of such a small human, so quickly, and without taking many breaths. He had a contagious grin that could brighten the darkest room and a sense of humor that was irresistible. He was the kind of kid who played hard, worked harder, and loved with his whole heart—humans and animals alike.

Finley was an eager learner, both in school and on the farm, and an incredibly kind soul. He relished time with his big brother Oliver, playing board games, shooting hoops, and embarking on countless memorable and often, less than well thought out, adventures. He loved bubble baths, hot showers, and listening to assorted music. Music wasn’t just background noise for Finley; it was a full-on vibe. He was happiest ending a busy day snuggled up with his Mama, Pops, Oliver, faithful Cece and Gus watching Stranger Things or The Flash.

He was an enthusiastic reader, ready to give a very detailed recap to anyone in earshot. An aspiring food critic, he never shied away from letting others know his preference for his Aunt Jacqui and Aunt Betsy’s cooking. A basketball fanatic, Finley could frequently be found honing his skills on the court, sorting his cards, or reciting player stats to his Pops and Uncle Peter.

Finley never liked being alone, which worked out well because he was often in high demand. Whether Ira was seeking a co-pilot in the tractor, Dane a helping hand for anything on his to-do list, or Henry needing a qualified assistant for cleaning the pavilion, his presence made the work load lighter and way more entertaining.

He was a steadfast friend and the ultimate sandbox companion, often found alongside Cora and crew, building worlds from dirt and imagination. His patience and understanding wasn’t only reserved for the littles in his life. He was also Henry’s calming goat, offering quiet strength when it was needed most. Finley was proud to help, quick to comfort, and always ready to make someone laugh.

Finley left this world living his best life, with his best buddy, on July 2, 2025. He went out how he came in—enveloped in an abundance of unconditional love. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made was immeasurable. We will miss his essence, his laugh, his ear tests—but most of all, the beautiful, kind-hearted, and goofy boy he was.

Finley’s energy continues to be felt by so many, including his Mama, Stacy (Mlsna) Sosinsky; his Pops, Adam Sosinsky; and his big bro, Oliver. He is deeply loved by his Nana and Papa, Vickie and Mike Sosinsky, and Grandpa Jim Mlsna.

He will always be remembered by his Uncle Alex, Aunt Betsy, and trampoline-jumping buddies, Jayden and Ellie; his Aunt (and second mom) Jacqui, Ira, Dane, Henry, and Cora; his Uncle Peter, Aunt Lynzie, and all their critters; his Uncle Thomas, Aunt Abby, Remi, and Willa; his Uncle Tony, Aunt Taylor, Indie, and Tate; and his Aunt April and the entire Griswold crew.

Finley is surely jabbering Pa’s ear off, dancing in the flowers with Gramma Jeanne, cooking with Aunt Al, and getting lots of love from Bubba and other four-legged friends.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 6pm at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation beginning at 4pm, prior to the service. A meal and time of remembrance will follow.
