RICHLAND CENTER - John Stolzman, 48, of Richland Center died Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his home after a brief illness. He was born on December 9, 1972, in Sparta, the son of Robert and Amy (Roberts) Stolzman.

 John graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1991 and UW Madison in 1996, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. On October 19, 1996, he was united in marriage to Michele Bethke. John worked for the Wisconsin DOT for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, both bow and gun, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, and helping out on others farms. John was always there to lend a helping hand to other people.

John is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michele; Son, Alex Stolzman; daughter, Alison Stolzman; Mother, Amy Plummer; Sister, Kris (Joel) Marquez and their sons: Adrian, Roberto, Antonio, and Mauricio; Father-in-law, Gerald Bethke; Sisters-in-law: Jenny (Tom) Pizur and their children: Ryan, Colin, and Kate; Tami Raitt and her daughter, Claire; Adopted sisters: Nicole and Jocelyn Carlile; Friend, Hugh Holak; Beloved pets: Sadie and Maggie; Many other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father Robert, uncle Ray Roberts, and mother-in-law Linda Bethke.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with burial following in the Millards Prairie Cemetery, Union Center.

A livestream of the funeral service was available at the Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service website. Visitation was held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
