Margaret A. Liska, age 89 years, of rural Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Pine Valley Healthcare in Richland Center.
She was born on May 24, 1936 in the Hillsboro, the daughter of Harold and Bessie (Janecek) Lind and attended the Hillsboro Schools.
Margaret was united in marriage to Harold S. Liska on June 25, 1955 in Hillsboro. They dairy farmed in the Townships of Henrietta and Greenwood for many years. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1995.
Margaret enjoyed being on the farm, where her family gathered often. In her younger years she enjoyed deer hunting and attending polka dances with Harold. Playing bingo, gathering with her sisters and watching parades were also things she appreciated.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Barb) Liska of Lancaster, Joe (Nancy) Liska of Loxley, Alabama, Jean (Greg) Kubarski of Hillsboro, Lori (Brian) Landsinger of Hillsboro, Rick (Kim) Liska of Hillsboro and Bobbie Jo (Jim) McDermott of Elroy; seventeen grandchildren, Jamie, Dawn, Misty, Joey, Tiffany, Summer, Nadine, Kersti, Kabel, Dustin, Dillon, Shania, Malia, Kiana, Alex, Noah and Adrian; twenty-six Great Grandchildren; brother, Robert Lind and sisters, Sharon Schwarz and Linda (Terry) Gunder.
In addition to her husband, Harold; she was preceded in death by her Parents and three sisters, Betty Clark, Mary Ann Filter and Alice Jensen.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Chaplain Thomas Hotek officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. A time of visitation will be in the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
