HILLSBORO - Mary E. Havlik, age 91 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Elroy Health Services Home in Elroy, Wisconsin.
Mary Elizabeth was born on November 29, 1930 to Bessie and Oscar Roth at home in Hillsboro.
She was united in marriage to Merlin E. Havlik on June 10, 1950 in Hillsboro. They were married for almost 63 years until Merlin’s death in 2014. During that time, they farmed together in the Hillsboro, Lone Rock, Gotham and Mt. Tabor areas. She also worked as a sales clerk and in a factory. She enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening as well as her many indoor plants. She especially enjoyed the trips she took with Merlin to Texas, Arizona, Indiana, Florida, California, and Tennessee.
Survivors include her children, Sara (Donald) Heidenreich of Richland Center, Merlin Anthony (Louisa) of Stoughton, Timothy (Mitzi) of Paducah, Kentucky, and Lawrence (Johanna) of Fishers, Indiana; ten Grandchildren; twelve Great Grandchildren and her brother, Robert (Berlaine) Roth of Baraboo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Richard Roth.
A Graveside Memorial Service at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro for both Mary E. and Merlin E. Havlik will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
