YUBA - Willard Jindrick, age 91, of Yuba Wisconsin, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Milestone Assisted Living in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.

Willard was born January 25, 1931 and grew up living on his family farm his entire life and was always very proud of that fact. He was a lifelong 4th generation farmer and a school bus driver for over 50 yrs. He was a co-founder of the Cesky Den celebration serving as president for many years. He served on different boards including AMPI, Farmers Union, Vernon Telephone, Bloom township, the Czech National Cemetery and was also involved with the VFW. Willard served 2 years in the US Army.

His hobbies included many years on bowling leagues, snowmobiles, motorcycle, UTV trail riding and morel mushroom hunting. In his early years, he played trumpet in a local band. He truly loved his farm pets, which included many favorite dogs and cats. Later in life he had a passion for collecting toy tractors and attending toy shows. But a love for music and dancing with Helen at all the local polka/waltz events over the years was his favorite pastime.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Carl Jindrick and his sister, Alma Felker.

He is survived by his wife, Helen (Benish) Jindrick of 70 years; his 3 children, Terry (Lynne) Jindrick, Pat (Gary) Schuller of Naperville IL and Karen (Paul) Shaw of Vernon Hills IL; 7 grandchildren, Jordan Jindrick of Madison Wi, Kaitlyn (Dustin) Scholz of Cedarburg Wl, Paul (Dawn) Schuller of Colorado Springs CO, Danielle Schuller of Denver, Co, Joshua (Jennifer) Shaw of Lindenhurst IL and Jeremy (Randi) Shaw of Round Lake IL; and 6 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah and Skylar Scholz; Sterling Schuller; Makenna Shaw; Jaxxon Shaw and Addyson Strohl.

The local community will always remember Willard for his passion for conversation (aka “gift of gab”), his boisterous opinions and a laugh that made you smile.

A celebration of life and graveside service is being planned for Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 12 noon, at the Czech National Cemetery near Yuba, Wl.
