Laura Michelle Lambert, age 47 years, of Readstown, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua.

She was born on August 12, 1976 to Philip and Debra (Wilcox) Lambert in La Crosse.

Laura graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1995 and later graduated from UW-Eau Claire. She then went to Arizona State University on a Fellows Program. Following school, she lived for several years in Bay City, Wisconsin and worked in Minnesota as a Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens. In more recent years she moved back to the area, living in Readstown and working at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua.

She was very active in the school programs playing French horn with the band, singing in the choir and participating in forensics. Laura and her family were very involved with 4-H. She was named Vernon County Fairest of the Fair, was on the Hillsboro Labor Day Court and was Vernon County Dairy Queen.

Laura continued her strong faith and true love for God, loved to travel and spent as much time as she could with her nieces and nephews in their many activities. She also operated a photography business, LML Photography.

Survivors include her parents, Philip and Debra Lambert; siblings, Pamela Jo (Michael) Stahlke, Angela Mary (Lucas) Keenan and Matthew (Jamie) Lambert; nieces and nephews, Abigail (Dawson) Curtin and their forthcoming child, Kamdyn, Hayden Stahlke (Nicole Totzke), Kaylin Stahlke, Keegan Stahlke, Cole Keenan, Ali Keenan and Jake Keenan; maternal grandmother, Shirley Wilcox; and loved and missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Eugene Wilcox and paternal grandparents, Quenton and Margie Lambert.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church – 160 W. 4th Street, Richland Center, WI, with Monsignor Roger Scheckel officiating, visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. A time of visitation will be at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m.
