Robert “Bob” Charles Munroe, 89 years young, joined the Lord on June 12, 2024 after a short illness.

He was born in Manistique, Michigan to Robert S. and Vera Mae (Blowers) Munroe on August 16, 1934. He was the youngest of 12 kids.

He loved fishing and camping, watching western movies and working crossword puzzles in his spare time.

Bob started driving truck at the age of 16. It was his Passion. He owned his own rig for a few years and drove for several companies. Sawyer, Hamel, Deboar and Roy Nelson Logging Company were just some of the trucking companies. Hanging up his keys working for Rozanne Trucking in Hillsboro, before his illness.

He also worked for North Dickinson School District in Felch, Michigan and Lumberton School District in Lumberton, Texas as a bus mechanic.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 ½ years, Barbara J. (Bartels) Munroe; his Parents and Siblings; infant son, David Lee Munroe; daughters, Ruthann Arndt and Laurie Farmer; 2-year-old Great Granddaughter and sister of the heart, Beth Harland.

He is survived by his children, Robert C. Munroe of Escanaba, MI, James Munroe of Hannahville, MI, Roberta Welch of Waynesville, IL, Bobby (Regina) Poore of Perkins, MI, Denise (Sam) Doyle of Hillsboro, WI, Michelle (Aaron) Joosten of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Rebecca (Brad) Muller of Hillsboro, WI; 35 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews; 2 brothers of the heart, Robert (Peggy) Bartels of Hampton, IL and Jim (Joy) Bartels of Moline, IL and 1 sister of the heart, Karen Puklin of Castle Rock, Colorado.

Following cremation, there will be a celebration of life around Bob’s heavenly 90th birthday on August 16, 2024 in Hillsboro, WI.
